I've figured out the difference between internet dating and real life dating

Having stipulated "friends" and not looking for a relationship... I thought I would be safe from finding the "one", especially since I was not looking & came in here just for my nightly social chats....well...guess what?... it happens!.. No matter how hard I tried to ignore the feelings, realisation of distance & sleepless nights from trying to drag myself away from my computer, engulfed with the presence of my perfect man, it was impossible.

Only advice that I can be give is that although you may fight the feelings, I think you can learn more from someone through typing out your true self, not a persona of who you want others to think you are... and there may be someone out there that will totally understand you to the point of being that missing jigsaw piece to make you whole.

Sometimes face to face can be daunting due to the concern or insecurities of whether we are pretty enough, funny enough, thin enough, or generally perfect enough as depicted in magazines....etc... by getting to know the mind of one, you just know if you will click or not...

I was lucky to find my other half, without even searching. Open your heart, be yourself and don't try and be someone you think others will like... you will only sell yourself short...

After 15 years of uncontentment, I know that I have found the one. No matter what hurdles jealous or unhappy people may throw our way or the obstacle that distance prevails, love is stronger than that.

Don't give up! It will happen, when you don't even expect it!

Maybe all of us here are here because we still hold hope that although our past relationship/s have been crap, we are willing to put our pasts behind us & open our frail hearts enough to allow the search for the "right" one or "soulmate"....or whatever u wanna call it!

I know that for the first time in my life, I am really in love. I love it!
